Information We Collect

Audio Files

All audio files remain on your device. MixMaster A/B processes your audio files entirely locally on your iOS device. We never upload, transmit, or store your audio files on our servers or any third-party servers. Your mixes, projects, and reference tracks are yours alone.

Usage Data (Free Version with Ads)

If you use the free, ad-supported version of MixMaster A/B, our advertising partner may collect limited, non-personally identifiable information to serve relevant ads:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of files loaded)
• Advertising identifier (IDFA) - only if you have allowed tracking in iOS settings

You control ad tracking. You can limit ad tracking through your iOS device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). When tracking is disabled, ads will still be shown, but they will not be personalized.

Usage Data (Unlocked Version without Ads)

If you purchase the one-time unlock to remove ads, we collect no personal data or usage information. The unlocked version operates completely privately with zero data collection, analytics, or tracking.

Purchase Information

In-app purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

Free Version (Ad-Supported)

• Advertising: To display ads once per 10 audio files loaded
• App improvement: Anonymous analytics help us understand how the app is used to make improvements
• Fraud prevention: To detect and prevent abuse of the free tier

Unlocked Version (No Ads)

• No data collection: We collect and use zero data from the unlocked version
• Complete privacy: All audio processing happens locally on your device with no external communication

Data Storage and Security

Local storage only. All your audio files, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your iOS device using secure iOS storage mechanisms. We do not maintain any servers that store your personal data or audio files.

iCloud sync (optional): If you enable iCloud for MixMaster A/B in your iOS settings, your app preferences may sync across your devices through Apple's iCloud service. This is controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy. Audio files are never synced to iCloud.

Third-Party Services

Free Version with Ads

We use third-party advertising services to display ads in the free version. These services may collect information as described in their privacy policies:

• Advertising network providers (AdMob, or similar)
• Analytics providers (only in free version)

These third parties are required to use your information only to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.

Unlocked Version without Ads

No third-party services. The unlocked version includes no advertising SDKs, analytics services, or third-party data collection of any kind.

Children's Privacy

MixMaster A/B is intended for professional and hobbyist audio engineers, producers, and artists. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete such information.

Your Rights and Choices

Data Access and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Access: All your data is already accessible to you on your device
• Deletion: Deleting the MixMaster A/B app from your device removes all associated data
• Export: Your audio files remain in their original locations and can be accessed through the iOS Files app

Advertising Choices (Free Version Only)

• Limit Ad Tracking: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iOS device
• Remove Ads Completely: Purchase the one-time unlock to remove all ads and data collection

European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to access your personal data
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restrict processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing

Since the unlocked version collects no personal data and the free version only collects minimal anonymous usage data through third-party ad services, these rights are largely exercised through your iOS device settings and app deletion.

California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed

We do not sell your personal information. MixMaster A/B does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
• Posting an in-app notification for significant changes

International Data Transfers

Since all data processing happens locally on your device, there are no international data transfers. The minimal analytics data collected in the free version may be processed by third-party services in various countries, subject to their respective privacy policies.

Data Retention

Free Version: Anonymous usage data collected through third-party services is retained according to their data retention policies, typically 30-90 days.

Unlocked Version: No data is collected, so there is no data retention.

Your audio files: Remain on your device until you delete them. We never have access to your audio files.

License Grant

Our app: MixMaster A/B, including all code, design, and branding, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

In-App Purchase Terms

• The one-time unlock purchase removes ads permanently from your installation
• Purchases are non-refundable except as required by law
• The unlock is tied to your Apple ID and will restore on other devices you own
• Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store according to their terms

Disclaimers

MixMaster A/B is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all audio file formats
• Specific audio quality or accuracy of spectrum analysis

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MixMaster A/B shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of use.

Governing Law
